Hosted Events

One of the many wonderful things about Omaha is that the community of meditators is growing. Mindfulness Outreach Initiative has worked tirelessly to support, unite, and grow this community and now we’re finding a culture of people with a daily practice emerging from these joint efforts. The Omaha Metro Area has exceptional meditation teachers and those individuals either teach for MOI or they are our dear friends. It is our greatest intention and our sincerest wish to be your personal resource for meditation and mindfulness, and one of the things we are honored to do is encourage our visitors to explore what Omaha has to offer. Visiting established meditation centers and sitting groups around Omaha is a wonderful way to meet fellow students and teachers alike.

During Omaha Meditates a number of our friends, partners, and fellow meditation teachers will be hosting sitting groups to provide you with a comfortable and supportive environment for your practice on this day of introspection and altruism. Please feel welcome to attend one or more of the local group sits being offered around the Omaha Metro Area.
